What does it truly mean to serve as an armour bearer—and what does the Bible actually say about the role?

 

ARM : Foundations of Armour Bearer Ministry is a five-week, Christian-based course designed for laypersons who desire to understand, prepare for, or grow in the ministry discipline of armour bearing.

Using the King James Version (KJV) as the primary biblical text, this course goes beyond simply teaching “how to serve your pastor.” Students will examine the biblical origins of armour bearing while developing the character, judgment, practical skills, and spiritual maturity necessary to serve leadership responsibly and effectively.

Throughout the six weeks, students will explore:

• The biblical foundation and function of the armour bearer

• Character, servanthood, humility, and spiritual maturity

• Assignment, authority, and the limits of the armour bearer's role

• Communication, discretion, confidentiality, protocol, and preparedness

• Biblical authority, submission, loyalty, ethics, and healthy boundaries

• Practical decision-making through real-world ministry scenarios

• A final Armour Bearer Ministry Practicum

 

Students will also learn to distinguish between Scripture, biblical principle, ministry tradition, and organizational preference—and how to apply each appropriately in ministry.
